Gagan ahead with heavy votes, Bishwa Prakash in second place

KATHMANDU: DEC. 16 – The counting of votes for the post of General Secretary of the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress is underway on Thursday.

When 2520 votes were counted, Gagan Kumar Thapa got 1648 votes. Bishwa Prakash Sharma, who is following him, has got 1019 votes.

Similarly, General Secretary candidates Prakash Sharan Mahat and Pradip Padel got 827 and 746 votes respectively. Minendra Prasad Rijal, who has already announced his resignation from the post of defense minister, has got only 436 votes so far.

Similarly, Rajaram Karki has to settle for 64 votes.
