Defense Minister Minendra Rijal announces his resignation

KATHMANDU: DEC. 16 – Minendra Prasad Rijal, the defense minister who was nominated for the post of general secretary in the party’s 14th national congress, has resigned from the post.

He said in his official and verified Facebook handle, “I have decided to resign from the post of Minister of Defense in view of the clear message from the preliminary results of the post of General Secretary I contested in the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress.” I will submit my resignation to the Hon’ble Prime Minister as soon as I receive the final result.’
