Party Registration time till Dec. 25 (with Information)
KATHMANDU: DEC. 16 – Political parties have to register for the National Assembly elections from today till Dec. 25. The Election Commission has stated that the political parties wishing to participate in the election for the 19 vacant posts will be able to register their parties from today till Dec. 25.
The commission has also informed that preparations have been made for the election to be held on Jan 26 for the members of the National Assembly. Commission spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Poudel informed that the internal preparations for the election are moving ahead as per the schedule and schedule.
Among the members of the National Assembly whose term expires on March 4, eight are from the CPN (UML), four from the CPN (Unified Socialist), four from the CPN (Maoist Center) and three from the Nepali Congress. There is a schedule to publish the voter list on Jan 1.
The candidate nomination letter registration program will be held on Jan 4. Candidates participating in the election will be given an election symbol on Jan 9. Candidates will get the campaign period from Jan 9 to Jan 25. The commission has informed that polling will be held on Jan 26 from 9 am to 3 pm.
In the election of National Assembly members, the voters will be the members of the State Assembly, the Head of the Municipality/Deputy Chief. The Ministry of Finance has allocated Rs. 59 million to the Election Commission for election.
