Today only vice president, General Secretary tomorrow
KATHMANDU: DEC. 15 – Under the ongoing 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress, voting has already taken place for the posts from office bearers to central members. The President has already been decided. Sher Bahadur Deuba has been re-elected as the President.
The Central Election Committee has stated that the counting of votes will be done gradually from today along with other office-bearers. According to the committee, the counting of votes for the post of deputy vice-presidents will be held from 4 pm today.
Seven candidates have registered for the post of two central vice-presidents. Dr. Chandra Bhandari, Divyashwori Shah, Dhanraj Gurung, Mahesh Acharya, Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar and Sujata Koirala had registered their candidacies for the post. Out of these 7 candidates, 2 will be elected as vice presidents.
According to the committee, the counting of votes for the post of vice president will be held today. The committee has stated that the votes of the general secretary will be counted tomorrow.
