Congratulations and best wishes from leaders to Deuba, who said what?

KATHMANDU: DEC. 15 – Leaders of various parties have congratulated Sher Bahadur Deuba on his election as the President of the Nepali Congress. Deuba, who was re-elected as the President after the counting of votes in the morning, was congratulated by the leaders of the parties representing him in the parliament.

CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal tweeted good wishes. He wrote, “Congratulations and best wishes to the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Sher Bahadur Deuba for being re-elected as the President of the Nepali Congress for the second term.”

JSP leader Baburam Bhattarai congratulated Deuba. “Congratulations to PM Deuba on his re-election as the party President from the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress and best wishes for a successful tenure,” he tweeted, “Let the Federal Democratic Republic be strong under his leadership, let the regressive forces not raise their heads, let there be unity among the advancing forces, more good luck.”

Similarly, CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali congratulated Deuba on his re-election on social media this morning. “Congratulations to Mr. Sher Bahadur Deuba, who has been re-elected as the President of the Nepali Congress from the 14th General Convention,” he wrote.

Leader of the Maoist Center Narayan Kaji Shrestha has extended best wishes and congratulations to Deuba who has been re-elected as the President for the second time. “I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Prime Minister, Sher Bahadur Deuba, on his re-election as the President of the Nepali Congress and wish him a successful tenure,” he said.

Similarly, UML Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai also congratulated Deuba and wrote on social media, “Congratulations and best wishes to Hon’ble Sher Bahadur Deuba for being re-elected as the President of the Nepali Congress.”

Deuba was re-elected President of the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress. He defeated Shekhar Koirala by 878 votes in the second phase of voting. Deuba, who is running for prime minister for the fifth time, has started his second term under Congress’s leadership.
