6 more ministers added in Bagmati, sworn in evening
KATHMANDU: DEC. 14 – Bagmati’s Council of Ministers has been expanded. Munu Sigdel, head of the UCPN (Maoist), stated that Chief Minister Rajendra Prasad Pandey has named five ministers and one minister of state. The UCPN (Maoist) has selected two ministers, one minister of state, and three ministers from the center of the UCPN (Maoist).
Ghanshyam Dahal of UCPN (Maoist) is the Minister for Labor, Employment and Transport, Basanta Prasad Manandhar of UCPN (Maoist) is the Minister for Drinking Water, Energy and Irrigation, Basundhara Humagain is the Minister for Agriculture and Livestock, Bishal Khadka is the Minister for Forest and Environment and Ratna Prasad Dhakal is the Minister for Youth and Sports.
Similarly, Indramaya Gurung of Unified Socialists has been appointed Minister of State for Agriculture and Livestock. At the same time, a government of 11 ministers including the chief minister and one minister of state has been formed in Bagmati.
The newly appointed Minister and Minister of State will be sworn in today by 5 p.m.
