Dozens of anti-MCC demonstrators arrested [Photos]

KATHMANDU: DEC. 14 – In opposition to Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), police have arrested dozens of 6 members of the various 6-party members of the parliament in the Parliament New Baneshwor.

Protesters also vandalized even the police’s barricade. The arrested protesters have now been kept in Baneshwor, police said.

Activists of CPN, CPN-Revolutionary Maoist, CPN-Masal, Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist–Leninist), Scientific Socialist Communist Party, Rastriya Janamorcha and Deshbhakt Janatantrik Morcha had reached New Baneshwor to besiege the parliament building demanding cancellation of the agreement.
