Shekhar’s conclusion to go to second round of voting
KATHMANDU: DEC. 14 – Dr. Shekhar Koirala, who is the presidential candidate in the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress, has concluded that he will go for the second round of elections. This was the conclusion of a meeting of Koirala’s party leaders held after the remaining candidates for the presidency were in favor of Sher Bahadur Deuba.
During the meeting, Koirala said that he would not allow the agenda of change and transformation of leadership in the party to be weakened, said a leader. He has even called on the Congress representatives to cast their votes by listening to their inner voice.
Shekhar is holding a press conference shortly. The second round of election for the post of Nepali Congress President is being held from 3:30 pm today. However, Deuba looks stronger than Koirala in the election.
Prakash Man Singh, Bimalendra Nidhi and Kalyan Gurung have supported Deuba.
