Meeting of UML parliamentary party being held to decide strategy to be presented in house

KATHMANDU: DEC. 14 – The main opposition CPN-UML has called a meeting of the parliamentary parties to decide the strategy to be presented in the parliament sitting starting today.

According to UML Whip Shanta Chaudhary, the meeting will be held at the office of the parliamentary party at Singha Durbar shortly. According to her, the meeting will discuss the strategy to be presented in the parliament.

UML had not participated in the proceedings of the entire parliament during the previous session. The UML has demanded that the speaker should drop the information of the party’s action against 14 lawmakers including Madhav Nepal. According to Chaudhary, the party is still adamant about this demand.

She said that a meeting of the parliamentary parties will discuss how to move forward as the demand has not been met.
