KATHMANDU: DEC. 14 – A meeting of both the houses of the federal parliament is being held on Tuesday. On the recommendation of the government, President Bidhya Devi Bhandari had convened a session of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly on December 2 at 2 pm.

Accordingly, the Parliament Secretariat has made public the possible agenda of the meeting of the House of Representatives.

This is the probable agenda

  • The Speaker will read out the details of the letter of invitation to the convention received from the Honorable President.
  • The Speaker shall nominate the members to preside in accordance with sub-rule (1) of rule 10 of the House of Representatives Rules, 2075.
  • Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand said that the ‘Nepal Police and State Police Operations, Supervision and Coordination) (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2078,’ Acid and Other Hazardous Chemicals (Regulation) Ordinance, 2078 ‘and’ Social Security (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2078 ‘to be submitted.
  • Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Parliamentary Affairs Renu Kumari Yadav to present Railway Ordinance, 2078 BS.
  • Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dilendra Prasad Badu to amend some laws against sexual violence.
  • Ordinance and Ordinance to amend some Acts related to criminal offenses and criminal procedure, 2078 to be submitted.
