KATHMANDU: DEC. 14 – The counting of votes for the election of the President of the Nepali Congress under the General Convention is underway.
According to the ongoing vote count, there is a tough competition between the two presidential candidates Sher Bahadur Deuba and Dr. Shekhar Koirala.
Out of 3,181 votes, Sher Bahadur got 1,505 votes. That is 47.31 percent. Sherkhat got 1,178 votes.
Apart from Sher Bahadur and Shekhar, the rivals are lagging behind by many votes.
Bimalendra Nidhi, Prakash Man Singh and Kalyan Gurung have not been able to move forward in proportion to Sher Bahadur and Shekhar.
