Male rhino found dead in Chitwan

BHARATPUR: DEC. 13 – Today, a male rhino was found dead in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-16, Chitwan district.

A 16-year-old rhino was found dead in the field, according to Balkrishna Khanal, information officer at the Division Forest Office in Chitwan.

A technical team from the Division Forest Office in Chitwan and the National Trust for Nature Conservation inspected the rhino’s dead body.

“Only the report will tell if the rhino died naturally or was killed,” Khanal added.

The rhino’s deceased body was handled by the technical team.

The rhino’s horn and hooves were found in good condition and are being stored carefully at the Division Forest Office’s Jhanjhane Post. Ghimire elaborated.
