Congress election: Voting time extended till 9 pm today

ITAHARI: DEC. 13 – The 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress has extended the election period.

Due to a delay in printing ballot papers, the voting process started around four hours late than the original schedule (8.00 am), said Election Committee Coordinator Gopal Krishna Ghimire.

Considering the number of voters in the election and the number of votes cast so far, the voting time has been extended till 9 pm tonight, said Ghimire.

There are a total of 4,743 representatives (voters) in the national convention.

Over 2,000 votes were cast till 5.00 pm today, according to the election committee.
