KATHMANDU: DEC. 13 – The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has objected to the police and election committee members being mistreated to the journalists who went to cover the news during the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress.
The federation has objected to the incident saying that the police and election committee members did not allow journalists to enter the polling station to cover the news.
Stating that such behavior and disruption in creating a conducive environment for journalists who go for newsgathering is in itself reprehensible, the federation has also demanded the concerned bodies to create an environment for journalists to enjoy the freedom of the press without any hindrance.
