Yuvaraj withdraws candidature, supporting Shekhar
KATHMANDU: DEC. 12 – Yuvaraj Neupane of Gorkha has withdrawn his candidacy for the post of Nepali Congress President. Withdrawing his candidature, he said that he would support another presidential candidate, Dr. Shekhar Koirala. He was elected as the General Convention Representative from Gorkha Constituency No. 1 on Saturday.
He said that he had given his candidature to make the entire state prosperous. ‘My candidacy was well discussed all over Nepal. But, I took it back. It doesn’t explode anywhere, ‘he said.
After this, the number of leaders contesting the election for the post of Central President of the Nepali Congress has dropped to five. There will be competition between Sher Bahadur Deuba, Bimalendra Nidhi, Shekhar Koirala, Prakash Man Singh and Kalyan Gurung.
