King also needs to open a new party: Madhav Nepal

KATHMANDU: DEC. 10 – Chairperson of the CPN-Unified Socialist Madhav Kumar Nepal said that there was no possibility of the return of the monarchy in Nepal and added that it would be appropriate for the former king to open a new party.

Addressing the 14th general convention of the Nepali Congress held at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu, Nepal said that the monarchy would not return to Nepal under any circumstances.

‘I would like to say to the retrograde elements‚ now the flow of the river has moved forward. It cannot go back again. Because of that, the monarchy has no future‚ no possibility. Let no one dare to do such a thing ‘Nepal said ‚’ Even the king can open a new party. If not here’s a new product just for you! We do not accept the rule of one dynasty. ‘

Earlier in the day, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairperson Rajendra Lingden had said that the leaders had lost the trust of the people and indicated that the alternative was a constitutional monarchy.
