Oli, Prachanda and Nepal shared the stage
KATHMANDU: DEC. 10 – Leaders KP Sharma Oli, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Madhav Kumar Nepal have been seen on the same stage for the first time after the then Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) split. They were seen on the same stage during the inauguration ceremony of the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress.
In the then CPN (Maoist), Oli-Prachanda was in the role of chairperson and Nepal was in the role of a senior leader. UML and UCPN (M) have revived after the Supreme Court split the CPN (Maoist) into two factions on March 6.
Nepal, on the other hand, has formed a separate party, the Unified Socialists. The parties led by Nepal and Prachanda are in the government with the Unified Socialists and the Maoist Congress, while the UML led by Oli is in the role of the main opposition.
Relations between the three leaders have not improved since Oli twice dissolved parliament as prime minister. However, Prachanda and Nepal were seen on the same platform for some time even after the split of the CPN (Maoist). They have good political relations at present.
Oli and Nepal, who have been cooperating through UML for a long time, have not met for about seven months. They are still accusing each other while participating in various programs.
As the three leaders appear on the same platform, there is a growing interest in how they address each other and what they say to each other.
