Let’s book anyone violating human rights: State Chief Sherchan

RUPANDEHI: DEC. 10 – Chief of Lumbini State, Amik Sherchan, has said that anyone violating human rights should be brought to book.

At a program organized by different organizations including the National Human Rights Commission, Lumbini, on the occasion of the 73rd International Human Rights Day at Butwal today, Sherchan opined that it was the responsibility of all to protect human rights.

He laid emphasis on the need of raising voices by all from their respective places to control violence against women as cases of VAW are increasing in society.

Stating that the rights of the Nepali citizens have not been protected even while celebrating the 73rd human rights day, Sherchan added that all should pay attention to it.

Similarly, Chief of National Human Rights Commission, Lumbini, Santosh Acharya, pointed out the need for solidarity of all in the protection and promotion of human rights.
