Hridayesh announcing new party
KATHMANDU: DEC. 10 – Leader Hridayesh Tripathi is going to open a new party. Tripathi, who split from the then Rashtriya Janata Party (RJP) Nepal and formed an independent political group, is announcing the Janata Progressive Party.
He will announce the party at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Everest Hotel in Kathmandu. “I am announcing a new party,” Tripathi said. “I have my own agenda. I will move forward by addressing it through a new party. ‘
Only Tripathi will be the chairperson of the party. Tripathi said that after the announcement of the party, various committees of the party would be expanded and members would be added.
In the last election, he and other leaders of independent political groups had contested the state assembly and house of representatives elections under the UML’s Sun election symbol. Tripathi and Brijesh Gupta have emerged victorious in the House of Representatives.
