KATHMANDU: DEC. 9 – The ‘Nabil DigiBank Portal’ has been formally launched by Nabil Bank. According to the bank, consumers may access online services through a single-door system via the Nabil DigibBank portal.

It is said that the bank has automated its product service through the portal to provide an easy and simple banking experience to the customers. Anil Keshary Shah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bank, said that the journey started from Computerized Bank has now developed into a truly digital bank. He said that the DigiBank portal was one of the major activities of the bank during its 37 years.

The portal provides online services such as online fixed deposits, debit/credit card requests, debit card replacement, merchant onboarding, and retail/SME loan applications. Furthermore, the bank intends to launch a slew of new online services in the following weeks.

The bank’s CEO, Shah, also announced two new online services during the event, namely Video Verification Account Opening (VKYC) and Virtual iCard.

With the launch of VKYC, customers now have the option of visiting a bank office for KYC verification or submitting the necessary information to the bank online. The customer will have to complete the task linked to customer identification by sitting in front of the camera and performing his / her introduction or full required introductory practice through VKYC selection.

Similarly, Nabil Virtual iCard is a service included inside the Nabil Smart Bank app. Customers may quickly submit their PAN and apply for a Virtual iCard using this method.

Similarly, the customer’s request is processed online and the virtual card is immediately issued within the mobile bank app along with the card details (card number, expiration date, CVV). Virtual iCard (excluding Indian Rupees) can also be used for e-transactions.
