Poudel not present, Deuba prepares to add joint general minister

KATHMANDU: DEC. 9 – Ram Chandra Poudel, the senior leader of the Nepali Congress, was not present during the meeting. Leader Poudel, who is attempting to find a common candidate from the establishment party for the post, was not present at the meeting.

Incumbent President Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the Prime Minister, is preparing to add the post of Joint General Minister. A leader said that Deuba was preparing to add the post of a joint general minister as there were many aspirants.

Congress currently has eight joint general ministers. It is said that preparations are being made to increase the number of joint secretaries to 10. Deuba will present the proposal at the meeting. However, Poudel’s side has opposed it.
