Congress General Convention: Mobile phones not allowed in polling stations

KATHMANDU: DEC. 9 – The Nepali Congress’ Central Election Committee has made the 14th General Convention’s code of conduct public.

On Wednesday, Congress made public the rule of behavior for delegates. The six-point code of conduct has been made public by Central Election Committee Coordinator Gopal Krishna Ghimire.

According to the code of conduct, candidates will be able to distribute visiting cards and general appeals while campaigning, will not be allowed to disseminate publicity in a derogatory manner, will be dignified and disciplined, and will not be allowed to place campaign materials within 500 meters of the party office and convention site and mobile phones are not be allowed at a polling station.
