Remittance payment agreement between RBB and eSewa
KATHMANDU: DEC. 8 – An agreement has been reached between Rastriya Banijya Bank and eSewa Money Transfer regarding payment of remittances.
The agreement was signed by Kaviraj Adhikari, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Bank and Ajesh Koirala, Chief Executive Director of eSewa Money Transfer.
Under this agreement, remittances sent from abroad through eSewa Money transfer will now be paid from all branches of Rastriya Banijya Bank.
The bank has stated that Nepalis living abroad can send money directly to Rastriya Banijya Bank’s account. In order to avail the service of eSewa Money Transfer, the account holders of this bank have to download the mobile app RBB Smart of Rastriya Banijya Bank.
Account-holders of Rastriya Banijya Bank, one of the leading commercial banks in the country, can receive remittances sent from abroad directly to their bank accounts, said the bank.
RBB has said that remittances can be sent or received anywhere in the network of eSewa across Nepal through eSewa Money Transfer using the bank’s mobile banking app.
Similarly, internal remittances sent by Rastriya Banijya Bank through eSewa Money Transfer can also be paid from the cash pick-up counters of 10,000+ eSewa Money Transfers across Nepal.
