RPP meeting started, Thapa was not present
KATHMANDU: DEC. 8 – The first meeting of the elected working committee of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has started. Outgoing party chairperson Kamal Thapa did not attend the meeting which started at the party office in Dhumbarahi.
Leader Rajaram Bartaula said that outgoing chairpersons Pashupati Shamsher JB Rana and Prakash Chandra Lohani were present at the meeting convened by newly elected chairperson Rajendra Lingden.
It is not clear why Thapa did not attend the meeting. He has been claiming that he was defeated by former King Gyanendra Shah and Nirmal Niwas Secretariat in the General Convention.
Thapa said he was not aware of the meeting. According to leader Mohan Shrestha, all the three outgoing chairpersons were invited to the meeting. Former chairpersons are ex-officio members of the party.
