Convention of Maoist Central State 1 to be held on Dec 10
BIRATNAGAR: DEC. 8 – The CPN-Maoist state conference is set to take place in Biratchowk, Morang. The CPN-Maoist has announced that the conference would be placed on Dec. 11 in Biratchowk, Morang.
According to CPN-Maoist Central State 1 Chairperson Suresh Kumar Rai, the conference would be attended by 1,140 delegates and 1,500 volunteers.
According to him, 600 delegates have already been chosen for the conference from the state’s 137 local levels based on the number of party members. According to Rai, the party has chosen one delegate for every 500 members, with a minimum of three from the local level.
The conference will be attended by 97 organizing committee members, 80 members of the Senior Communist Forum State 1, 100 state advisers, and 32 department participants. The state organizing committee will propose 10% of the state representatives or 91 individuals.
The conference will be attended by 20 central members, 12 central advisers, 68 central department members, 12 members of the Central Senior Communist Forum, and 5 members of the Central Commission, according to the CPN-Maoist State Committee.
Secretary of the organizing committee Hemraj Bhandari informed that party president Pushpa Kamal Dahal would inaugurate the state convention through a virtual medium. Bhandari said that the closed session would start on the same day after the inaugural session of the convention and the selection of leadership would take place after that.
The conference of the CPN-Maoist Center will have a maximum of 175 members, including state committee officials. There will be three vice-chairpersons, one secretary, one joint secretary and one treasurer in the state, including a chairperson and a woman mandator.
