Poudel’s faction discussing with central member to select presidential candidate

KATHMANDU: DEC. 7 – Senior Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel’s faction is holding discussions with central members to select a presidential candidate. Poudel has called a meeting again today to decide only one candidate from his group.

A discussion was held between Poudel and General Secretary Shashank Koirala, former General Secretary Prakash Man Singh and Central Member Shekhar Koirala at Poudel’s residence in Bohratar on Monday evening. An agreement was reached between them to decide the presidential candidate within two days.

According to the same understanding, a meeting is scheduled to be held with the central members close to him to take suggestions. The meeting has been called for 1 pm at Chaksibari in Thamel.
