Fog in Hills and Terai, chances of snow in Mountains

KATHMANDU: DEC. 7 – For the past few days, it has been getting colder all over the country. The cold has increased due to a continuous decrease in temperature, According to the Meteorological Department.

There is a possibility of light rain in one or two places of the hilly terrain of State 1 and Bagmati State today. The department has stated that there is a possibility of light snowfall in some places in the high hilly and mountainous terrain of State 1, Bagmati and Gandaki.

There will be partial to moderate cloud cover in the hilly areas of State 1, Bagmati and Gandaki. There is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous terrain of State 1 and Bagmati State tonight. The weather will be generally clear in the rest of the hilly areas of State 1 and Bagmati while there will be partial to moderate cloud cover.

The temperature in Kathmandu is 8.8 degrees Celsius at 6:30 this morning. The temperature will reach 20 to 22 degrees Celsius in the afternoon, said meteorologist Sajina Shakya. According to her, fog and dust will gradually disappear in some parts of the Terai and small places in the hilly terrain.
