Jyoti Bikash Bank launches prepaid dollar card service
KATHMANDU: DEC. 5 – Jyoti Bikash Bank has unveiled a prepaid dollar card with the facility to pay for goods and services purchased through various foreign online channels from home. The bank has stated that the customers of the bank can get the virtual dollar card within one day by applying for the prepaid dollar card online.
The bank has been promoting digital banking services from Dec. 5 and has launched a prepaid dollar card service based on US dollars for the purpose of paying for purchases of goods and services online from abroad.
According to the bank, with the launch of the prepaid dollar card service, the bank’s customers will be able to make safe purchases and pay through international e-commerce platforms even while staying in the country. With this Visa Date work-based card, customers will be able to make online purchases and pay up to $500 per year.
To get a dollar card, you need to have a PAN card along with the updated bank account of KYC details. The bank will charge a certain amount for the card fee when issuing the card and has also made arrangements for freeloading of dollars for the first time.
According to the bank, this facility can be availed from all 105 branch offices of the bank across the country and also by applying online through the bank’s website using your mobile, laptop or computer. The bank also recently launched a mobile banking app based on the Omnichannel concept, promoting digital banking services.
Jyoti Bikash Bank is currently providing services through 105 branch offices, 1 extension counter and 62 ATMs.
