Congress Convention: Counting of votes begins in State 1
BIRATNAGAR: DEC. 5 – Counting of votes in State 1 has started under the State Convention of Nepali Congress. The counting of votes for the state convention election held on Saturday has started late. Though it was said to start at 8 in the morning, the election committee started late citing technical reasons.
The counting of votes has been delayed due to a delay in the formulation of the code of conduct for counting of votes and selection of candidates’ representatives. The counting of votes has started from 1:30 pm, according to the Election Committee.
Candidates, their representatives and cadres can be seen in the Morang Congress Party office, the polling station of the election. A total of 1,752 votes were cast in Sunday evening’s election. In the election, Poudel-Koirala and the establishment party are in the fray by forming a panel.
