Shukra Raj Sharma elected as Gandaki president of NC

POKHARA: DEC. 5 – Shukra Raj Sharma has been elected as the Gandaki president of Nepali Congress. With the last 46 votes still to be counted, Sharma won by a wide margin.

While counting 1100 votes, Sharma got a margin of 75 votes. Sharma got 585 votes while his nearest rival Arjun Prasad Joshi got 510 votes. Here, Sharma was on Poudel’s faction while Joshi was on Deuba’s faction.

Poudel Panel’s candidates have won most of the other posts. Candidates from the Deuba faction have won some posts.
