264 candidates filed nominations for the 141 central member posts
KATHMANDU: DEC. 3 – A total of 264 candidates have filed nominations for the post of central member in the closed session of the unity general convention of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP). According to Election Committee member Raju Basnet, 264 candidates have filed nominations for the 141 central member posts within the time given by the RPP Election Commission from 11:30 am to 2 pm on Friday.
According to him, there are 474 women, 57 men open and 264 candidates in 141 seats including Tribal, Tribe and Migration. According to the committee, Kamal Thapa and Rajendra Lingden have been nominated for the post of chairperson. They have given their candidature along with the panel.
Eight candidates, including two women, have filed nominations for the post. Similarly, the committee has stated that there are six candidates including two women for the post of General Secretary. Voting for the chairperson will be done through ballot papers while e-voting is being done through 91 machines for others.
Voting is being held in RPP from 8 am on Saturday. It takes at least 15 minutes for a delegate to vote.
