Delegates attending the Maoist National Conference have to pay Rs 2,000
KATHMANDU: DEC. 3 – The entrance fee for each member attending the National Conference of the CPN (Maoist Center) has been fixed at Rs 2,000. Spokesperson of the UCPN (M) Krishna Bahadur Mahara said that discussions are underway to select the delegates to the National Conference.
He said, “There is a lot of room for sending more Central Representatives, especially in the case of the Central Representative, as we have decided yesterday. We have instructed the Chairperson to prepare all the proposals and bring them to the next meeting.”
The issue of electing representatives has also been discussed. It has been decided that each province will bring 30 members to elect delegates to the National Conference and the rest will be decided on the basis of the number of party members renewed. The admission fee for visiting delegates is fixed. Each party member has to pay an entrance fee of Rs 2,000.
The Maoists have formed various sub-committees to conclude the upcoming National Conference in a grand manner. Spokesperson Mahara also said that the standing committee meeting held at the party headquarters Parisdanda had decided to form a sub-committee on management, publicity, volunteers and health to make the national conference a success.
