Congress State 1 convention begins
BIRATNAGAR: DEC. 3 – The state convention of Nepali Congress State 1 has started. The convention started in the presence of central leaders. The inauguration, scheduled for Thursday, was postponed due to disagreements between the leaders.
The convention is scheduled to begin at 8:00 am today. The meeting was addressed by party president Sher Bahadur Deuba through the virtual medium. He lauded the role played by the party leaders and cadres in concluding the convention as the state leadership was selected after the ward convention and district leadership selection.
The program has been started under the chairmanship of former general secretary of the party Krishna Prasad Sitaula as the central delegate for concluding the convention of State 1. But no one was made the chief guest at the event.
The convention, scheduled for Thursday, was postponed until Friday because of disagreements over who would be the chief guest and who would inaugurate the convention.
