Deuba urged the leaders and cadres to concentrate on the election shortly following the convention
KATHMANDU: DEC. 2 – Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has instructed the party leaders and cadres to focus on the election.
Inaugurating the first state convention of the Nepali Congress on Thursday, Deuba reminded that the municipal and state elections would be held within a few months and within a year.
He stressed on the need to work together to win the remaining three tiers of elections, which should be taken as a victory and defeat in the elections within the party. “We are going for local elections in a few months, federal and state elections in a year. That is why our focus should be on the election immediately after the convention. Winning or losing in our internal elections is a natural process. It is a democratic practice. Therefore, I am confident that you will take the internal competition as a democratic exercise and focus on the election in the coming days to win the trust of the people, ”he said.
He also urged to discuss the issue of making a strategy to win the hearts of the people by making the Congress stronger and stronger in the state convention.
