In Lumbini state, a common candidate of other groups has been decided
KATHMANDU: DEC. 2 – The non-establishment group of the Nepali Congress has decided the candidates for the Lumbini State Working Committee. According to a leader, it has been decided to nominate Rolpa president Amar Singh Pun for the post of state president.
Similarly, Bhuwan Shrestha of Gulmi and Ashtabhuja Pathak of Rupandehi have been nominated for the post of vice-president, while Bikram Khanal of Nawalparasi and Surendra Raj Acharya of Kapilvastu nominated for General Secretary and Khagraj Pandey of Dang, Bishnu Muskan of Arghakhanchi and Nima Giri of Pyuthan have been nominated for the Co-Secretary General post.
Deepak Giri and Chandra Bhandari were given the responsibility of selecting candidates in Lumbini along with the decision to field a common candidate in the state elections from other groups. The party president and prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is holding the state convention of the Nepali Congress today.
