Congress state convention begins, inaugurated by President Deuba
KATHMANDU: DEC. 2 – Under the 14th general convention of the Nepali Congress, the seven state conventions are starting from today. It has been stated that the Prime Minister and the President of the Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba, will inaugurate the state convention of all the states simultaneously through a virtual medium.
The convention of State 1 will be held in Biratnagar, the convention of State 2 will be held in Janakpur, the convention of Bagmati State will be held in Hetauda, the convention of Gandaki State will be held in Pokhara, the convention of Lumbini State will be held in Bhairahawa, the convention of Karnali State will be held in Surkhet and the convention of Far Western State will be held in Dhangadhi. Congress is going to hold a state convention for the first time. The state convention will select state committees in all seven states.

The election schedule of the state working committee is starting from today. To publish voter list on Dec. 2 at 10 am, to register candidate nomination papers from 8 am to 11 am on Dec. 4, to register protests against nomination papers on the same day from 11 pm to 1 pm, to investigate and decide on Dec. 4 at 2 pm. There is a state election scheduled to be held.
Central Election Committee to publish the first name of the candidate in Nepali alphabet 9 Devanagari script from 2 pm to 5 pm onDec. 4, withdraw nominations at 6:30 pm on the same day, publish the final list of candidates at 7:30 pm and start voting for the Provincial Working Committee on Dec. 18 from 8 am. Coordinator Gopal Krishna Ghimire informed. The 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress is being held in Kathmandu from Dec. 9 to 11.
