Question of child sensitivity: Passenger vehicle targeted campaign started from Biratnagar
BIRATNAGAR: DEC. 1 – At the Dhat of Biratnagar, some people were queuing up to get on and off the public transport. Everyone was shocked by this scene around 10 am in morning. The traffic police was assisting in stopping the public transport at Dhat on the border of Biratnagar Metropolitan City and Budhiganga Rural Municipality.
Some of the group of about 10 had filled out their identity cards, while others were carrying leaflets and pasting them on the front, back and doors of the vehicle. The leader of the same group got into the car and asked them to listen to him for two minutes. This process lasted for a long time.
It was also seen that some motorcycles tried to flee as they were traffic police. Things were different.
The National Council for the Rights of the Child has launched this campaign in collaboration with various organizations to prevent child trafficking, trafficking and child sexual abuse. Suman Adhikari, focal person of the Child Rights Council, State 1, said that the campaign was targeted at passenger vehicles as many people could be reached at once by public transport.
A team from the Child Tracing Coordination Center Biratnagar, run by the National Council for the Rights of the Child, also participated in the campaign. The council has stated that 104 teams are operating under the command of the Deputy Inspector of Police in Biratnagar, located in State-1.
The campaign has been launched with the joint efforts of Maiti Nepal, CWIN Nepal, District Police Office, Morang and District Traffic Police Office along with the National Child Rights Council. According to Maiti Nepal’s Program Coordinator Binod Pokharel, an awareness campaign has been organized at the Child Search Center 104 to report any missing, found or abused children.
The National Child Rights Council is preparing to launch this campaign in Biratnagar, Birtamode, Kakarbhitta, Dharan and other places. Basu Adhikari, who has been working in the field of child sacrifice, said that good work has been done in the field of children.
