Number of ministries is being increased to settle the distribution
BIRATNAGAR: DEC. 1 – The state government has started splitting the ministry and forming a new one. The State 1 government, formed in a five-party alliance in State 1, is in the final stages to increase the number of ministries.
The five-party alliance had formed a task force headed by Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Indra Bahadur Angbo to split the ministry. The task force consisted of the Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law and the Law Secretary of the Chief Minister’s Office. A meeting of the Council of Ministers had formed a task force a week ago to split the ministry.
State 1 currently has seven ministries, including the Office of the Chief Minister and the Office of the Council of Ministers. The coalition government is preparing to blow up three of the existing ministries. The coalition has stated that it is preparing to split the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development, Ministry of Land Management, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and Ministry of Social Development.
Minister Angbo has been saying that they are preparing to split the ministry keeping in mind the practice and financial burden in other states. Minister Angbo said that the report will be prepared keeping in view the economic condition, nature of work, need and practice of other states.
In order to reduce the internal dissatisfaction within the coalition parties, the coalition is preparing to split the ministry and make a minister. Chief Minister of State 1 Rajendra Rai had earlier said that the number of ministries in the state could be increased as per the need.
