Dinesh Rai wins presidency of NC Dhankuta

KATHMANDU: DEC. 1 – Dinesh Rai has been elected as the President of Nepali Congress Dhankuta. Rai won the election with 504 votes. Rai’s nearest rival Kamoth Phago polled only 470 votes.

Newly elected Rai is considered close to Congress central president Sher Bahadur Deuba. Sunil Dangol and Nirmal Ojha have been elected vice-presidents from the convention. Similarly, Bijay Santoshi Rai and Jayendra Ghising have been elected as secretaries, according to Dhankuta.
