Thapa re-elected as NC Bhaktapur president

BHAKTAPUR: NOV. 30 – Durlab Thapa has been re-elected as the Bhaktapur district president of the Nepali Congress. Thapa defeated Asta Kawe by 113 votes in the public opinion polls on Tuesday morning. Thapa had earlier defeated Kawe and was elected district chairman.

He is on the side of president Sher Bahadur Deuba. According to the District Election Committee, Thapa got 555 votes and Kawe got 442 votes.

Similarly, Bijesh Awal and Urmila Ban have been elected as deputy vice-president, Sushil Basnet and Rajesh Khadka as secretaries, Yadav Prasad Adhikari and Krishna Murari Neupane as joint secretaries.
