Counting begins, results likely to be made public by 5 pm
CHITWAN: NOV. 30 – The process of counting of votes in the 10th UML General Convention has started.
The Election Commission has stated that the counting process has started a little late even though it was said that the counting would start immediately after the polling and the results would be made public by 2 o’clock.
According to Advocate Chiranjivi Khatiwada, a member of the commission, the process of making seals by removing chips from all the 69 electronic voting machines is underway. The calculation will be done after the closing. According to Khatiwada, the final results are expected at 5 o’clock as there will be a process of reconnecting and verifying the number of people who voted from the chips and who did not.
Though it is said that the result will be announced by 2 o’clock, it will be delayed. “We had promised to make the results public by 2 pm, but as the counting started a little late, now the results are likely to be made public by 5 pm.
