57 delegates did not participate in the voting
KATHMANDU: NOV. 30 – A total of 57 delegates have been absent in the voting for office bearers and central members of the CPN-UML’s 10th General Convention. According to the UML Central Election Commission, 2096 out of 2153 voters have cast their votes.
The voting process started shortly after KP Sharma Oli started the electronic voting at 4 am in morning. The complete results will be available in about 3 hours, according to the Election Commission.
In some clusters of UML chairperson, vice-chairperson, secretary and central member, voting has taken place today. KP Sharma Oli and Bhim Rawal are competing for the new leadership of UML. Subash Chandra Nemwang, Ram Bahadur Thapa, Ghanshyam Bhusal, Astalaxmi Shakya, Bishnu Poudel, Surendra Pandey and Yuvaraj Gyawali are vying for the post of vice-chairperson.
