Durlav Thapa elected as NC Bhaktapur president

KATHMANDU: NOV. 30 – Durlav Thapa has been elected as the President of Nepali Congress Bhaktapur. Thapa was elected with 555 votes.

Another presidential candidate Asta Kumar Kawe had polled 442 votes. He belongs to the non-establishment group. Thapa, who was elected president, is on the side of president Sher Bahadur Deuba. He was also the president of Bhaktapur before this.

Vijay Awal and Urmila Ban have been elected as vice-president while Rajesh Khadka and Sushil Basnet have been elected as secretaries. Krishna Murari Neupane and Yadav Adhikari have been elected as joint secretaries.
