Ghising appointed as NSC’s member secretary
KATHMANDU: NOV. 29 – The government has decided to appoint Tankalal Ghising as the member secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC).
An official of the Sports Ministry informed that the cabinet meeting held at Singha Durbar on Monday decided to make Ghising a member secretary.
Sports Minister Maheshwar Gahatraj had introduced the names of Achyutam Lamichhane and Mamata Shrestha along with Ghising, chairperson of Nepal Rugby Union, to the cabinet. Ghising is also a member of the Maoist Bagmati State Committee.

The committee had recommended the names of three members after conducting interviews and presenting the action plan with 18 people who had applied to become member secretaries. Ghising has been appointed from among them.
The government had decided to dismiss the then NSC member secretary Ramesh Kumal Silwal on Oct. 18.
