Voter list collection to begin in Kailali
DHANGADHI: NOV. 29 – Compilation of voter list is about to start in Kailali. The State Election Office, Kailali is going to start the voter list compilation in two phases.
Prem Raj Bhatta, acting state election officer at the state election office in Kailali, said that the first phase of voter registration would be started from Dec. 3 to 18 and the second phase from Dec. 5 to Jan. 3.
He said that the voter list will be collected in 10 local levels including 5 in the first phase and 5 in the second phase. He said that a continuous voter list is being collected from the Area Administration Offices at three local levels.
He said that those who want to register their names in the voters’ list of other districts will be registered by the state election office from Dec. 3.
In the first phase, voter registration will be done in Kailari Municipality, Godawari Municipality, Bardagoria Municipality, Chure Municipality and Joshipur Municipality. Similarly, the second phase will be held in Lamkichuha Municipality, Mohanyal Municipality, Gauriganga Municipality, Janaki Municipality and Bhajani Municipality.
In the case of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan, voter registration is being done from District Administration Office Kailali and State Election Office, said State Election Officer Bhatta.
He said that the voter list is being collected from the Area Administration Office Sukhad of Ghodaghodi Municipality and Area Administration Office Tikapur of Tikapur Municipality.
Chief District Officer of Kailali, Kiran Thapa said that all citizens need to register their names in the voters’ roll.
The State Election Office Kailali also held an interaction program with the stakeholders on Monday.
The interaction program was attended by political parties, security chiefs and representatives.
