Son dies as a result of his mother’s beating

BIRATNAGAR: NOV. 29 – A son has died after being beaten by his mother and sister in Morang. According to DSP Deepak Shrestha of District Police Office, Morang, Rajendra Urau, 40, of Katahari Rural Municipality-5 was beaten to death by his mother Batiya Urau and his sister Rita Urau.

Rajendra and his 55-year-old mother had a dispute last Saturday night after consuming alcohol. According to DSP Shrestha, Rita Urau, mother and Rajendra’s 30-year-old sister, died last night while undergoing treatment at Nobel Hospital, Biratnagar.

Police have arrested the deceased’s mother Batiya and sister Rita. Police said that an investigation is underway into the incident.
