Gyawali in the post of Deputy Secretary General, Gurung and Rimal unopposed

KATHMANDU: NOV. 29 – CPN-UML senior vice-chairperson, general secretary and deputy general secretary will be unopposed. The senior vice-chairperson, general secretary and three deputy general secretaries will be unopposed.

Only Ishwor Pokhrel, Shankar Pokhrel and Pradeep Gyawali, Prithvi Subba Gurung and Bishnu Rimal have been nominated for the post of Senior vice-chairperson, General Secretary and Deputy General Secretary respectively. Even after the expiration of the nomination period, no candidate was fielded for the post of Deputy Secretary-General.

According to UML Central Election Commission member Baburam Dahal, the election for the posts of the chairperson, vice-chairperson and secretary will be held. “We are calculating the number of candidates,” he said.
