Maoist leader Pun’s health improves after being taken to China from Bangkok
KATHMANDU: NOV. 29 – Former Finance Minister Barshaman Pun’s health has improved. He was taken to the Third People’s Hospital of Senses in Shenzhen, China last Friday for further treatment.
Pun’s personal secretary Santosh Pun informed Makalu Khabar that his health had improved on the fourth day of his treatment. According to the latest tests, the amount of jaundice (bilirubin), which is rare in the world, has dropped to 18.
Earlier, while in Bangkok, the amount of bilirubin was 22. Problems such as vomiting, body aches, insomnia, loss of appetite, and body swelling due to increased effects of bilirubin have improved.
According to Santosh, the doctor participating in the treatment said that the leader was safe again and could return to Nepal after some time. After the recurrence of hereditary jaundice, the leader returned to Bangkok on Sept. 30.
