Ishwor and Shankar Pokharel unopposed in UML office bearers

CHITWAN: NOV. 29 – Ishwor Pokhrel and Shankar Pokhrel will be elected unopposed as CPN-UML office bearers. The Pokhrel duo will be elected unopposed as no other candidate has been fielded within the time specified by the Election Committee.

It is said that Ishwor Pokharel will be elected unopposed as there is no other candidate for the post of senior vice-chairperson. Baburam Dahal, a member of the UML Central Election Commission, told Makalu Khabar that Shankar Pokharel would be unopposed as there was no other candidate for the post of General Secretary.

Their formal announcement is yet to be made. The election process has started in the morning under the 10th general convention of the CPN-UML in Chitwan.
