Second phase of elections will be held for the president of Congress Doti
DOTI: NOV. 24 – The second phase of the election for the district president of the Nepali Congress is going to be held in Doti. The second phase of elections will be held on Tuesday after none of the presidential candidates got more than 50 percent of the votes.
Narendra Bahadur Singh got 358 votes, Bhumiraj Badu got 342 votes, Pradip Kumar Deuba got 214 votes, Nar Bahadur Dhant got 91 votes and Tekraj Ojha got 34 votes. Deuba is the current chairman. He dropped out of the presidential race after falling to third place in the polls.
The election committee has stated that re-election will be held between Singh and Badu, who got the highest number of votes. Now Singh and Badu have been active in creating an atmosphere in their favor with Deuba, Dhant and Ojha who came out of the first phase.
